Price: 250-425 US dollars
Size:The males are 21 inches and the females are 13 inches.
Lifespan: Females live 4-5 years and males live 5-8 years.
Caging: They need 2ft by 2ft by 4 ft full screen enclosures.
Lighting and Temperature: They need both a heat lamp and a UVB bulb. The cool side should be 70- 80 degrees and the basking place should be 85 -90 degrees.
Substrate: The bottom of the enclosure should be kept bare or with a layer of paper towels.
Food: The staple should be crickets with a side feeding of collard greens and such.
Water: Mist daily so these chameleons can drink from the leaves.
Handling: Limited handling is advised. If you do handle, don't restrain it and let it walk from hand to hand.
Tips: A lot of leafy branches is needed as they are completely aboreal. Also, if you have a female, leave a container of sand in the cage so the females can lay their eggs. They have to lay eggs, fertilized of unfertilized, or they will become eggbound and die.
