Mealworms
Mealworms are the basic staple of many reptiles. They are convienent way for reptiles to get their protein.
Crickets
Crickets are also the staple of many reptile diets. THey are like a container for what you want your reptile to eat. It depends on what you gut load them. Also, reptiles have a good time catching fast moving prey.
Dubia Roach
These are slow moving, they dont make noise, they cant move out of containers, and they have a higher meat to shell ratio than crickets. All in all, a better alternative way than crickets. The only con is that they are expensive and not usually found in pet stores.
Waxworms
They are very high in fat. Good for treats and feeding reptiles that have lost their tails or have just laid their eggs. Most reptiles love them but should not feed too often.
Superworms
A larger cousin of the mealworm. Feed to larger reptiles as a staple but can be used as a treat for smaller reptiles.
Butterworms
They are very high in calcium. Can be fed as a staple alongside mealworms or crickets. Should be fed often to breeding females.
